Your Registration for Lean HE 2023 includes:

Registration, Rates & Payments

Each attendee will complete their own registration form to receive a unique 4-digit registration number. This Reg # is required during the payment transaction for both credit card and check. If paying for more than one attendee in a single payment, you'll need to provide the Reg # and name for each person during the transaction.

Conference Registration Rates

Group Rate 4+ attendees from same institution $595
UC Group Rate University of California, any campus $595
Speaker Rate confirmed session speakers $680
General Registration open through mid-October $880
Early Bird Rate closed August 10th $680

 

Group Rate

If there are four (4) or more people from the same institution, the discounted group rate is $595 per person.

  • UC San Diego and other UC campus attendees are eligible for the group rate.
  • Each attendee must complete a separate Registration Form to obtain a unique registration number.
  • Registrants are asked to use an institutional email address to simplify the group verification.
  • Individuals who are part of the group may pay separately for their own registration.
  • Group Rate attendees are provisional status until four (4) or more attendees have completed payment.
  • If it is self-identified or determined that the eligibility requirements for the group rate have not been met, any attendees with a completed group rate payment will be assessed the difference to Early Bird or General Registration rates based on original purchase and date of determination.

First-Timers

Help us make Lean HE 2023 even more friendly and engaging for First-Time attendees! For those who'd like to participate, we'll connect a First-Timer with another attendee who has previously attended a Lean HE conference. With our introduction (trading your name, institution, city and email), you're all set to connect, ask questions, share experiences, inspire each other and meet a new Lean HE colleague before you even arrive!

Your UC San Diego Lean HE team is exploring possibilities for onsite engagement activities - more to come!

 


Terms, Conditions, and Policies

Adherence to the following conference terms, campus policies and other information is charged of attendees for registration and participation. Please review them before registration.

 

General Payment Information

All funds will be processed in U.S. dollars and full payment is due at the time of registration. 

Credit Card Preferred

The preferred method of payment is credit card. If deemed necessary, payment by check is accepted per the Check Payment Policy.

 

Transfers, Refunds and Cancellations

  • Registration is transferable until October 16th to another colleague for this conference only.
  • Transfers or cancellations must be submitted via email to LeanHE2023@ucsd.edu.
  • Written confirmation of registration cancellation must be received by September 15, 2023.
  • Cancellations received on or before September 15, 2023 will receive a refund less a $75 processing fee approximately 3-4 weeks after the request is received.
  • Refunds are not issued after September 15, 2023.
  • Submit exception requests in writing to LeanHE2023@ucsd.edu.

 


Credit Card Payment

After obtaining a Registration Number by completing the registration form, visit the credit card payment site

  • Credit cards accepted are American Express, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, Visa.
  • Credit cards will be charged at the completion of the online payment transaction.
  • Payments will appear on your statement as a charge from UCSD E-MKT CASH OFFICE.
  • If paying for more than one attendee in a single payment, you'll need to provide the Reg # and name for each person during the transaction.

 

Account vs. Guest

The payment system, Transact E-Market, provides an option to -Create an Account or -Proceed as Guest. By creating an account, the account holder can log into E-Market anytime and pull up the receipt. If doing so, it will ask your name and email again for this separate action. The system does not store the credit card information.

  

International Declined Payment

Please note, the credit card transaction may be considered an international payment as it will be processed in the United States. Due to this, it is important that if your card is declined, first ensure all of your information has been entered correctly, and that it is a card that we accept (see above). If your payment still cannot be processed, contact your credit card issuer.

  


Check Payment Policy

For circumstances that require payment by check, we will provide provisional status as outlined here.

 

Check Policy

  • All funds will be processed in U.S. dollars.
  • Checks accepted: personal check, bank check or money order.
  • After completion of the Registration Form, provisional status is provided for 30 days or until September 15, 2023, whichever is earlier. 
  • Upon check arrival and successful deposit, attendee will be notified that full registration is complete. 
  • If provisional registration expires without full payment, the conference seat may be released.
  • Returned checks will incur a $75 fee and registration status will return to ‘provisional’ until resolved.
  • Check payments are not eligible for cancellation refund until the deposit has cleared and been verified by UC San Diego records. This may take 1-3 weeks from date of deposit.
  • The details provided in your confirmation copy of the Registration Form will serve as an invoice for requesting payment by check from your institution.

  • Payable to: UC Regents
  • Include a Registration Number on the check for each attendee: REG# 9999” 
  • Contain the bank branch information and account number imprinted on it
  • Include check owner’s complete mailing address
